What is the SentryBay eWallet?

The SentryBay eWallet is a small application that allows you to securely store your important personal data. This data could consist of credit card numbers, passport details, and usernames and passwords for web sites. The data stored within eWalltet is encrypted to prevent un-authorised users from accessing your data. The personal data stored within eWallet is fully customisable to suit your requirements.

How do I access the SentryBay eWallet?

To access the eWallet right-click on the shield menu located in the task bar and select eWallet from the menu.

Why do I need to provide a password?

When you first access the eWallet you will be requested to enter a new password. This password not only prevents un-authorised users from accessing your data but is also used in the encrypting of the data that you store in the eWallet. Please make sure you use a suitable password that only you know. The longer the password the better the protection.

I have lost my USB device which had my eWallet installed on, is my data safe?

The data stored within the eWallet is protected in two ways, firstly by the password you entered when you first started using eWallet, and secondly the data is encrypted so your data is safe from un-authorised users.

I can't remember my password, how do I recover my data?

Unfortunately due to the level of encryption that is used to protect your data, should you forget your password your data would not be recoverable. When choosing your password it is recomended to choose something that you can remember as well as something another person could not guess.

What if someone was able to copy my eWallet data file, could they access my data?

Should someone copy your data file and even if this person is able to guess your password, your data is still safe. The eWallet doubly encrypts your data so that it can only be decrypted only using your USB device.

I have a problem with the eWallet software, can I get help?
